TO ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS
OF CWA, First of
all it is so important for me to thank you all for your kind donations. You all have
made this transition possible at the worst time (Holidays) so much easier for me and my family. I must admit that I
was shocked at the amount collected for the "New guy". My wife cried and I
even got choked up myself to see that you guys actually came through for someone that you have only known for such a short amount of time. I was really blown away! Maybe it was my boyish charm(lol). For
all of you that don't know, it took me a year and a half to get to Staten Island from Westchester. I left behind a really great bunch of guys and gals only to end up with another bunch right here in SI.
You guys made me feel welcome from day one,and for that I am equally grateful. OK, OK,OK, enough with all the mushy stuff.
My kids were able to get the Xmas they deserved and bills were able to get paid. All thanks to my brothers and sisters of
CWA and when I say brothers and sisters I'm not saying it lightly. I know
we all come from different walks of life, different races, different ideas about life, but from the time you pull into
that garage, until you pull out we're all the same. Look to the left and right, because
the people you're looking at are the ones that are going to save your job, get it? YOU MUST STOP THE RUNNING, I REPEAT, YOU MUST STOP THE RUNNING! You may be getting a deal today and dealing yourself right out of a job tomorrow. Trust
me I can't point fingers because I've done it too, but it has to stop. You guys
have to stick together. For all of you guys who actually worked with me, you know
I do my best, care about the customer and go above and beyond, I was always the last guy to leave the yard at night, look
where it got me. Let me serve as an example of how this monster company can gobble
you up and spit you out without a second thought. My life has been changed forever,
whether I come back to "THE MONSTER" or not, I couldn't tell you if it's for better or worse yet, only time can tell, but I do know that my family and I will survive, there are no other options.
So to all of my CWA Brothers and Sisters I thank you again on behalf of my family
for being there for us and to warn you of bad days to come.
I'm sure you've heard rumors, well I heard rumors for 3 months until i was
laid off. Please remember STOP THE RUNNING AND BE WHERE YOU'RE
SUPPOSED TO BE! You guys know the drill!!
Sincerely,
