SAFETY COMPLIANCE PLAN NOT IN EFFECT IN CWA NY COMPANY'S NOTIFICATION TO MEMBERS IN ERROR
The National Union received at least two calls
from Locals stating that the Company is telling members that their new Safety Compliance Plan was effective immediately and
that the disciplinary aspects would be effective on March 15th. The Union contacted Verizon
Labor Relations objecting to their actions while we continue to meet with them over this matter. The Company acknowledged
that the notification to our members in New York was done in error and they are looking into sending out
a correction on this. They stated that the Company is going ahead with their plan in other areas that are not bargaining
over this issue but that nothing is going into effect in New York because we are still in discussions.
In Local 1115 Central Office Technicians were instructed via a letter from a first line manager, to read the policy and indicate
that they have done so on their time sheet. Our members should not do this. We will have further discussions with
Labor over this matter and update you when we have more information

CWA, along with NYC Public Advocate Bill DeBlasio,
is collecting "Stories" from New Yorkers who have had bad experiences with EZ pass
Call Center. Specifically, we are looking for bad customer service stories having to do with getting incorrect bills, being
double billed for tolls, etc.
If you have, or if you know of anyone who has had a bad customer experience, please click here to tell the story.
